Emergency Teacher Certification (ETC) Teacher in Residence Program (TIR)
Did you know that with a college degree you can apply for up to three years of emergency teaching certification? Here's a direct link to the Arizona Department of Education "Emergency Teaching Certification" website.

Emergency Teacher Fast Facts
- Candidate must hold a BA or BS degree
- Candidate must be willing to participate in a TIR or Master's program by year two of the issuance of his/her ETC
- Candidate must hold a valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
Teacher Intern Fast Facts
- All TIR programs are designed to take two (2) years to complete
- During the two (2) years candidate will be a full time teacher and a full time student - Crane partners with Rio Salado College, Grand Canyon University and other state approved Alternate Certification providers
- Candidate must hold a BA or BS degree
- Candidate must hold a valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Candidate must make contact with one of the Crane's partner college/universities to begin the enrollment process
