ENGAGING INTERACTIVE INSTRUCTION

 Measuring Instructional Effectiveness
When looking at district performance, we want to keep in mind that all these numbers represent the children in our schools and homes. Educators and parents realize that children progress along individual pathways and timelines. While it is good practice to keep track of progress in comparison to peers it is crucial that we provide students and parents with information on personal growth goals. With that in mind, Crane Schools use testing growth measures developed by Assessment Technologoes Inc. At any given time, educators can see how each student academic growth is progressing per their individual timeline using the Galileo® K-12 Online Assessment System.
In classrooms where this expected growth is met or exceeded we can be reasonably sure that high-quality instruction suited to those students is occurring. According to these growth measures, Crane classrooms and students have far outpaced classrooms that use Galileo nationwide.
