Para Professional (ParaPro) Assessment

Paraeducators that do not have 60 credits or an Accociate of Arts degree from an accredited college/university can meet the No Child Left Behind and Crane School District requirements by taking and receiving a passing score on the ParaPro Assessment.

What is the ParaPro Assessment?

The ParaPro Assessment is for prospective and practicing paraprofessionals.  It measures skills and knowledge in reading, math and writing and the ability to apply those skils and knowledge to assist in classroom instruction.

Is there study guide for ParaPro Assessment?

A study guide for the ParaPro Assessment is available at the District Office.   Please contact Gabby Kuzniak at (928) 373-3400 to reserve a study guide.   There is a $25.00 refundable deposit which is required at the time of checking out the study guide and they are checked out on a first come first serve basis.

What is the Format and Length of the Test?

This 2½ hour test contains 90 multiple-choice questions in reading, writing and math.  Approximately two-thirds of the questions focus on basic skills and knowledge and the remaining one-third focuses on applying those skills and knowledge in a classroom setting.

How Can I Take the Test?

You will need to complete and turn in an application prior to taking the test.   You can obtain an application at the Crane District Office located at 4250 W. 16th Street, Yuma AZ 85364 or you can download an application here.

The internet-based test is given at the Crane District Office.  Contact Valerie Miranda at (928) 373-3421 to schedule an appointment.   There is a $45.00 non refundable fee for the test which is required at the time of testing.
