TITLE:           District Gifted Coordinator

QUALIFICATIONS:

1.         Bachelor’s degree in Education or other related field required.

2.         Minimum of two years experience working in the education field required plus  gifted endorsement or working towards endorsement

REPORTS TO:

Director of Curriculum/Professional Development

JOB GOAL:

Coordinates District gifted program

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.                  Submit gifted grant proposal/budget each year. 

2.                  Refine District Gifted Scope and Sequence.

3.                  Restructure the gifted identification process and coordinate gifted testing.

4.                  Work to establish a parent group either by site or district. 

5.                  Network with other districts regarding gifted programs. 

6.                  Act as a resource to gifted site coordinators. 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

School year

STIPEND:  $2000.

EVALUATION:

Performance of this job will be evaluated by the Director of Curriculum/Professional Development.
