TITLE: Career Ladder Peer Evaluator
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Shall be a Crane Career Ladder teacher who has qualified for Level III on the Career Ladder schedule. (Level II teachers who are currently qualifying for Level III placement are eligible.)
2. Ability to maintain confidentiality required.
3. Good interpersonal skills, flexibility and a demonstrated ability to work harmoniously with staff required.
4. Ability to work independently with a minimum of direct supervision required.
5. Ability to communicate well with building level administrators and teachers.
REPORTS TO:
Career Ladder Coordinator
JOB GOAL:
To evaluate teachers and their student achievement plans for Career Ladder placement. To serve as coaches for teachers in the Career Ladder program.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Participate in Clinical Supervision and Peer Coaching training and practice to improve skill.
2. Participate in training activities with a trained Peer Evaluator.
3. Participate in inter-rater reliability building procedures.
4. Observe and provide feedback to teachers on teaching strategies as they relate to the Career Ladder program.
5. Share responsibility for evaluating Student Achievement Plans with the Career Ladder Coordinator and current SAP Reading Committee.
6. Participate in training and coaches teachers to write Student Achievement Plans.
7. Serve as a member of the Career Ladder Steering Committee.
8. Performs other related duties as required by supervisor.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Teacher's contract. Salary and benefits as established by the Board.
EVALUATION:
Performance of this job shall be evaluated by the Assistant Superintendent and Career Ladder Coordinator in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on evaluation of certified personnel.
