Early Out Crane Middle School
Due to a water main break at Crane Middle School there is no water service at the school. Therefore we need to dismiss all Crane Middle School students at 12:30 p.m. Buses will start loading at 12:30 p.m. and Transportation routes will be as usual with times moved up to accommodate this schedule. Parent pick-up will be available at 12:30 p.m. Repairs are expected over the weekend with school to resume on Monday, January 22nd at the normal time. We apologize for any inconvenience.

After a successful bond election in 1986, Crane Junior High School opened its doors in August 1987.

In the fall of 1998, the Crane District Governing Board voted to change the name of the current junior high to Crane Middle School, thus reflecting the change in educational focus that the staff, administration, and Governing Board began when “teaming” was initiated.

An extensive focus on academics has resulted in the school elective focus moving toward intervention and enrichment support for students. Our focus continues to be improving student achievement.

The mantra of the school is “As Good As We Are, We can Always Get Better.” We continually strive to improve in everything that we do and welcome feedback from others.

Thus, it is obvious that Crane Middle School has a long and proud history, one that will carry it far as its staff and students move into the twenty-first century.
