Championship Game, December 6th
The 7th grade lady wolves completed their undefeated season last night with a thorough shellacking of Castle Dome in the championship game at Kofa, winning 46-13. Anais Cook was a monster on defense, wowing the crowd with several show-stopping blocks that left Castle Dome tentative around the rim. After picking up 2 quick fouls, Rian Martinez showed poise, control, and intelligent play after entering the game and played clutch basketball that led to many offensive opportunities for the Wolves that were capitalized on early and often. Caylie Holyfield showed off her shooting prowess while sinking several picture perfect jump shorts while Desiree Kirkland played relentless defense, diving after ever ball that hit the floor. Alisha Rice controlled the tempo with smart ball handling all game and Arianna Banuelos made it look easy out there, aggressively pushing the ball up the floor from the point guard position. Kaylee Woods, Montserrat Renteria, Melissa Garcia, Valeria Robles, and Adayza Rupa kept the pressure on Castle Dome as the Wolves demonstrated relentless passion for the game in the second half while pulling away to secure a 30 point victory in the Championship game. Congratulations to Coaches Pina, Potter, Randolph, and Williamson in their dedicated pursuit of perfection this season. Today we instead of saying “Defend the Den” we can proudly say “Den Defended!”. Semi-Finals, November 30th
The 7th grade lady Wolfpack fought their way to a dominant 35-10 victory against Gila Vista Tuesday. Anais Cook was a force on offense to open the game, and Alisha Rice put on an absolute clinic, inspiring her teammates and the crowd alike. The 7th grade lady Wolfpack takes the court again on Thursday. Come support your team and watch the Lady Wolfpack continue their undefeated magical season.
Great job to the The 8th grade Lady Wolfpack who played a close game at Castle Dome with a close lose as the result. Kiarra Herbert played lights out ball for the Wolves all season. Vianni Diaz and Gilda Calderon were twin towers for the Wolfpack while Jacey Cruz, Maria Mendoza, Sofia Knappen, Ariza Chee, and Savannah Scott all contributed for the Wolves. Great job all season Lady Wolves, we are proud of you.
The 7th grade girls basketball wolves picked up a win against crane yesterday. All girls played great. Crane just did sneak out a win over the 8th grade team.
The Wolves basketball squads thoroughly dominated San Luis last night with 7th grade earning a 33-14 victory and 8th grade notching a 30-15 win. Jacey Cruz and Maria Mendoza played marvelous defense, frequently trapping San Luis in their half of the court. Rian Martinez and Caylie Holyfield continued to demonstrate terrific shooting ability. Great job wolves!

The lady wolf basketball squads got back to their season yesterday with 7th grade knocking off the rust with a 4th quarter run that resulted in a 25-17 win. Rian Martinez led the Wolves with terrific defense and Caylie Holyfield earned a player of the game mention from Coach Pina for her great shot selection and communication on the court. The 8th grade wolves played with passion and pressured Somerton the whole game, just coming up short. Sofia Knappen scored in double digits and Gilda Calderon and Vianni Diaz dominated the boards with superior rebounding. The Wolves play San Luis on home court today. 7th grade lady wolves basketball earned a hard fought victory over crane while the 8th grade girls faced a determined opponent that just did squeak out a victory.
Congratulations to Lady Wolves basketball as they started off the season Wolf strong! They must have drank space jam water because they played with no fear, dominating Southwest in both games. Leading the 8th grade team was Gilda Calderon with her monster rebounding ability. Sofia Knappen shot lights out while Maria Mendoza and Kiara Herbert played lock down, gritty defense. The 8th grade squad won by a thunderous 38-4. The 7th grade girls played with passion and style as they held Southwest to just one basket. Caylie Holyfield made some slick moves using incredible ball control and Rian Martinez and Anais Cook dominated the paint as immovable twin towers. Arianna Banuelos demonstrated superior leadership in the 36-2 win. The Wolves admirably defended the Den in their season opener, come watch them take on Crane on Thursday. Go Wolves!
