On Tuesday, November 4, 2014, an election was held in the Crane Elementary School District calling for a special bond election to authorize the issuance and sale of $10,000,000 of general obligation bonds for school improvements.
The district developed a capital plan with input and assistance from a Governing Board appointed Facilities Advisory Committee consisting of community members, staff and administrators. The committee reviewed all capital plan projects and recommended that the Governing Board adopt the capital plan focusing on the following priorities:
- Safety and security improvements including fencing, classroom access and security, and parking lot improvements
- Technology including classroom upgrades, instructional equipment and wireless connectivity at all schools
